Be Careful of What You Feed Your Dog and Pets
Skip the leftovers and people foods unless you KNOW it's safe. Here are bad foods for dogs.
Don’t feed leftovers to your pets unless you know what is in it – no onions, garlic, bread, white potato, salt, and much more. It sets up bad issues in their system.
A family member kept giving his dog leftovers from meals he didn’t finish and eventually the dog would not eat his own dog food. After a couple years of that diet, the dog started having diarrhea in the house without time to let anyone know it had to go out. This happened for days. One day, very suddenly, the dog’s legs gave out with severe arthritis. The dog lost all will to bother going on. He could not stumble to the car much less get in or out of it. The dog passed away.
The dog wasn’t getting proper nutrition and too many empty calories. There were ingredients in the foods that are awful for dogs, including onions, salt, butter, and who knows what else – maybe xylitol – all bad for a dog’s system and could kill dogs. The health of the dog declined fast. Many dogs get cancer from eating a bad diet, and this one got massive stomach issues and severe arthritis.
I take what I am cooking and put it in bags to go into the freezer. I only put unseasoned food scraps like carrot shavings, steamed asparagus after I snapped off bottoms, raw broccoli stems, raw green bean ends, raw cabbage pieces, cooked sweet potato and skin, apples without seeds, watermelon, pumpkin etc. I only give what is unseasoned and good for dogs.
I make my own dog food and blend those frozen fruits and vegetables into the food, along with other Ingredients I have researched. You can give the produce scraps as treats – even carrot sticks or green beans, so very few calories In them plus great nutritious treats.
Prolong the life and health of your dog (and other pets) by only feeding approved foods and treats, in the proper proportions. PR
