Clean Up With Cardboard
When you have pieces of thin cardboard, like from the front and back of a spiral notebook, or part of a package, or sturdy mail, keep some in a pile. Use them for when you spill something, or if your pet has an accident, or something that needs to be scooped up.
Before trying to clean barf or pet poops, take two pieces of cardboard and either “V” them to grab what you can, or lay one down and scoop the mess onto it with the other carboard piece. Then once you get that picked up and wipe up what you can (and run a vacuum over It If able), you can then use cleaners on the spot.
In the same way, if you spill flour or something, lay one cardboard sheet and use the other to push the flour onto the flat one, then pick it up and toss in the trash. The cardboard would be tossed into the trash, or if still clean (like spilled flours) into the recycling pile or reused.
I’ve done this for years and keep pieces of thin cardboard in the front closet – and grab them as needed to pick up the messes. PR
