Western Wear and Other Stuff!

The western influence is one of comfort to many. The country and western songs are like ballads - some sad, some reflective, some silly. I used to pick certain phrases from country & western songs to display as the "quote of the day" for athletes at the U.S. Olympic Training Center - our floor was quite popular for athletes to visit for the newest phrases! The clothes and boots are fun, and the dancing is a blast! I used to compete with western swing dancing, and followed "The Starlite Ramblers" all over Colorado when they played - hey, they're performing again and you can get their albums! Western influence lives on in the western states and farm lands. C&W is here to stay! Ok, some of us are more of "urban cowboys" than cattle round-up folks, but the appeal is still genuinely there!
