Submit your sites every time you build a new one, but make sure you link all your websites on the main site. Once you submit
the first time, you can let the spiders come back - but if your site doesn't come up in the search engines, or sits
very low, you need to tweak your content and re-submit to the engines so they will look at the fresh and useful
information. You can get the search engines to keep coming back to your site regularly by adding this code:
< META NAME="robots" CONTENT="all" > after the < head > and before the < TITLE > section. Take the spaces out of the
< > area - so they can be read correctly. Optimize your web site
with these tips.
You should build up some link partners, as well. Ask webmasters if they will link to your site - and then link their
site to yours. Make sure you approach only related sites, but don't approach your direct competition. Many
of your requests may go unanswered - there are too many people sending out email after email asking for link partners, and
many have had enough. I know I get numerous emails asking me to link to unrelated and even inappropriate sites. For example - my funding
services site will NOT have a cross link to a Bahama vacation site. (Once my funding client gets funded, I am sure he will know what
he wants to do with the money. If he was planning a vacation, he'd have planned that into the amount of funding he requested. I
should not encourage him to spend his money in any way.) Don't get linked on "links" pages - they are not looked on well by search engines -
too much junk - make sure the link exchange is on a contect oriented page.
Add new content regularly - don't just leave your sites alone, unless they are in the top 2 or 3 spots. Be aware that even
the positioning will change at any time - due to new algorithms used by the engines.
Write with your keywords - and if you write articles, add them to your sites. Send out your articles for other sites
to pick up and publish. Don't worry about the keywords if you are writing great content - some engines pick your sites up for
good content and information, and regular updates. Use your most important keywords in the title, as
well - consider keeping your title in small letters - not capital, since most people search in
non-cap letters. You cannot please all search engines at the same time!
