I am experienced with all this - doing repairs, alterations, having made bridesmaid dresses for many
people out of town, flower girl dresses, my own wedding dress, veils for
many people, a tent, suits, dresses, tailored outfits (even worked on some for few Broncos), outdoor patio furniture
padding, and more.
I have re-created small and complicated patterns for
larger people, and I have been challenged to make up outfits for people. The tent
was made to specifications on paper. Sewing is one of my talents, and I love to sew.
I have 3 sewing machines and a serger - I am well equipped to take on
whatever task is required. I do detailed sewing work or quick fixes - I work with
your requirements, and to your satisfaction. I have done "bizarre" requests,
such as making a wedding veil out of a pillbox hat, and a tent to fit a frame.
I work with your schedule as much as possible, and I absolutely mean to
please. Repairs and normal alterations done very quickly - often in a day.
Wedding dresses - I have been working on and doing alterations on wedding dresses since 1981. I
have worked at a tailor's shop and learned even more "tricks" than I already had. I have been
bustling dresses ever since my best friend got married before 1981, and also made her veil (my first) then.
Wedding dress alterations take longer, depending on what needs to be done. Simple hems can usually be within a day.
More complicated work will take more days, but if in a hurry, usually within a week is possible.
Testimonials:
"Can you put a tag in my dress that says 'Made by Paulina'?"
"Thank you so much for getting all 6 dresses done for my wedding - everyone
loved them!"
"I didn't think that dress could look good on her, but you really did a
good job!"
"My veil is beautiful!"
As you can see, I have many people who are happy with my work - no one has
been unhappy - I work with you until you are satisfied. My rates are reasonable and affordable, and
I get right on the job. I want to do a good sewing job for you, as well.

I am located in Centennial,
Colorado (was Englewood, south of Denver, north of Highlands Ranch).
To bring in your wedding dress:
Bring the specific underclothing - slips, bras, etc. that will affect the fit and how the dress lays down.
Bring your shoes you plan to wear so we can get the hem just right.
Plan to do the first fitting, then again for a second fitting after hand sewing (maybe more if there are specific
issues in the fit). Then you can plan to pick up the dress.
Figure out if you want to bustle your dress (pick the train off the ground during the reception so you can dance, and not have
other people walking on the train), or do you want a wrist loop - some trains will need more help than a wrist loop.

Sewing Tips
When using white chalk to mark material, the best way to remove the marking is to steam press it out. Don't
let the iron touch - just let the steam hit it.
Try to work out a snag by taking your fingernail and pushing the snag flatly toward the looser
end, not to tighten the snag. You can pull the material gently to try to pull the threads back into place.
