Click-for-Hits programs can work well for traffic, or perhaps not - it
does require your site is good enough to get surfers to stay on it. There are strategies
to follow to make this trafiic generator work for you.
Many times it takes awhile for the sites to load up, so I suggest you use
the ones you can leave for awhile (some monitor that no other window
opens in front of their window – I find these to be too aggravating to
bother with – I have work to get done and cannot afford spending my
day staring at the sites, doing nothing else). I open my Word window,
and work on my files, and then every minute or so I go to the hit
exchange window, look at the site, and click to the next. After a couple
of days, you will need to clear your cache in the browser, or you will
risk your computer getting very sluggish.
Now, your site that you have in the rotation needs to be very carefully
chosen and needs to catch attention. If the top of the page doesn't
catch attention, people will click right past it. You NEED to make the
VERY FIRST portion of your site SO COMPELLING that no one will
click past it without wanting to look over more of your site. Put the
benefit right at the top. People who just click and click need to see that
they really SHOULD look your site over. Make it general enough for
the varied population to have an interest – if you have a page for fun
playthings for ferrets, you will not get many lookers, no matter what
your message at the top is (unless you present it with something of more
general interest, but the fact is there are likely very few ferret owners who
will care). Be sure to pick your particular site carefully, to maximize the
reward for all your clicking. Most people in these programs are looking to
make money, to advertise their sites and programs, and to occasionally
find a perfect fit with a new program. They may not be looking for anything
specific – they usually go to search engines for that. Peruse some of the sites in
the rotation – then you will see which ones appeal and which ones don't.
Choose yours on the basis of what does appeal.
The programs "guarantee" hits – this means your site WILL come up in
the rotation for others to click on. This does NOT mean you will get
anything more than hits. It is your job to make your site interesting and
compelling enough to keep the traffic these programs bring in - to make the traffic
stay on your page.
Make sure you regularly go to your Internet Options and Delete Temporary Internet Files. The more
you surf, your computer slows down because it's holding all these Internet pages that you've been
surfing through.
