Relief for your back & neck when using a laptop
Laptops are ergonomically awful - the screen and keyboard aren't in the right places to keep yourself
healthy - you have to lean over to work with it, and then there is the problem of heat - which can and does
cause other health problems. One wonderful invention is the LapGenie
- it is an adjustable desk to set your
laptop into the best position it can be. It folds up for easy travel, and has many other uses. Check it out. It's made a huge difference to
me and a lot of people. Great for businesses where employees need to take their work home or on a trip - keep
your employees healthy by getting them a LapGenie!
Change Your Focus
With the economy being so tight and people losing jobs, homes, needing money - you may
need to change your focus from trying to sell high end products, to showing how people
can save or make money. Rather than buying things new, as more people cannot afford to do, show
"deals and steals" - previous year's items and overstock, even used. The more you can give a
deal to people, the better your chances are of making sales. Yes, this cuts into the profit - but
if no one buys anyway, shouldn't you sell what you can, and also help others in being able to afford
such?
Show compassion - let people know you want to help and be able to do your part in this
economy. If people can know that others care, it might just make their day.
If you can offer a partial commission to people for referring business your way, or a
discount for a referral, set it up! Having others promote for you is a much better way to
get your message out, and also the trust factor.
In short, focus on that which counts these days. Help people find what they need at a
cost that can help - both them and perhaps you. There is a smaller percentage of people
looking for high end purchases anymore - but those that do may prefer to shop online
anonymously rather than show their buying power in public these days (not rub people's faces
into the fact that they can afford over others). You will have concede that sales will
be slower and less now.
A Good Ad
Writing a good ad takes some strategy, unless you are gifted at it. Practicing will
make you a better ad writer.
Your ad needs to have a compelling headline to catch attention (or a graphic that
really catches the reader's attention).
Your explanation must immediately tell what the benefit is to your audience. Tell why this is
exactly what your reader is looking for or why it is something he needs but never thought about before.
When you write more than one type of thought, or have multiple sentences, break these out as
paragraphs or bullets - don't just run on and on - your points will get lost in your copy.
You must give good contact information - website, phone, email, fax, etc. Not only do people want to
look over a website for more information - some will want to call or email for specific questions. You
risk losing sales if you cannot get them the answers they need.
Once you've written your advertisement, set it aside and look at it later, or have someone
else look it over. Make sure all spelling and grammar is correct and there are no typos at all.
Place your ad in the correct niche areas where your ad will do best. To advertise car parts in a
fitness magazine doesn't make much sense - find the right avenue to place your ad.

advertising works better, and which ones are a waste of

much is still the same. More information and links of
